There are many feed factories in Ukraine because of the abundance of production of materials that are used in feed formulas or in concentrated feed such as alfalfa, soy, sunflower and many things.
Within Ukraine there are many farms that cultivate alfalfa, timothy and many fodder plants to feed cows and horses in particular.
In Ukraine there are many laboratories that are based on a modern fodder formulation system that specifically mixes the composition of feed in its natural form in the sense that it mixes grains and plants without grinding or anything just their natural form in proportionate combinations just what it does which is a process of trauma to grains, plants and herbs
Wheat bran, oat bran and corn bran are provided as well as many bran grains that are grinded in milling plants.
Many concentrated or compound feeds or feed ingredients are exported to many countries
We provide the required feed or the required formulations even if the customer has a special request in the formulations he wants
The main achievement of 2018 in the Ukrainian feed market is a slight increase (3.5%) in feed production for livestock – up to 592 thousand tons (according to the State Statistics Service). In general, unfortunately, the past year can not be considered successful. For the remaining three “nominations” for feed production (bird feed, livestock feed – “not included in other categories”)
The overall score for 2018, according to the government statistics department (including primary blenders, but excluding the production of flour and granules from alfalfa), is just over 6 million tons, the worst result in 7 years (the best result – according to 2014 results – more 6.8 million tons). NBS recorded a decrease in production volumes: feed for cows by up to 13%, feed for birds – by 0.5%. Feed production for “cows” only increased in relation to 2017, when feed “for livestock” fell sharply – by 21%. Compared to the indicators of the previous six years, feed production in this category decreased. For comparison: from 2012 to 2017, feed production for livestock in Ukraine remained at the level of 720 thousand tons.
Primary mixtures have been produced in Ukraine over the past seven years in quantities of 50 to 90 thousand tons.
However, compared to the beginning of the first decade of the twentieth century, when the volume of feed production in Ukraine barely exceeded one million tons, 6 million tons was a remarkable result. 16 million tons – Ukraine has only to dream. In the global feed market, 6 million tons are generally microscopic: 0.6%.
True, Ukraine is not alone in reducing the production of feed. In China, for example, in 2017, the production of animal feed – decreased by 0.4%. China, by the way, is a key figure in the international market – the world’s largest producer. China and the United States produce one-third of the world’s total feed.
However, the trends in the Ukrainian market contradict global trends. In contrast, global and European feed markets are expanding. In 2017, world feed production for the first time exceeded 1 billion tons
According to the European Association of Animal Feed Manufacturers (FEFAC), 28 EU countries produced about 156.7 million tons of animal feed in 2017, which is 0.2% higher than 2016. Although the nature of all fluctuations in animal feed production is global , In the Ukrainian market alone. As you know, compound feed is a “mirror” for poultry and animal husbandry. In this regard, nothing has changed in the Ukrainian feed market in recent years.
Market details remain the same. First, poultry feed remains the first product on the market. Today they account for more than 60%, which is explained by both the development of the Ukrainian poultry market and the increase in consumption of poultry meat. Second is feeding pigs. For the same reasons.
Secondly, the main producers of animal feed in Ukraine remain vertically large holdings of agro-industrial.
Thirdly, the Ukrainian feed market has a large reserve of production capacity.
