In the January-September 2018 period, service exports from Ukraine amounted to $ 8.769 billion, an increase of 11.6% over the same period in 2017.

‘During the 9 months of 2018, service exports amounted to $ 8769.3 million, or 111.6% compared with 9 months of 2017, import – $ 4137.2 million, or 105.0%. From 2017 it was also positive – $ 3920.9 million).

From January to September 2018, Ukraine conducted foreign trade operations with partners from 228 countries around the world.

Ukraine provided most services to the Russian Federation during this period – by $ 2.5 billion, or 28.4% of total Ukrainian exports of services. In second place, the United States, which provided services from January to September 2018 in the amount of $ 683.2 million (7.8% of total Ukrainian exports of services), ranked third Switzerland ($ 624.1 million; 7.1% of total Ukrainian exports).

Depending on the type of service, the situation was like this. In just three quarters of 2018, Ukraine provided transportation services – by $ 4.3 billion (49.3% of total Ukrainian exports of services), including via pipelines – by $ 2.2 billion. In second place, materials processing services are exported ($ 1.6 billion; 18.5% of total Ukrainian exports of services), third place is the export of telecommunications, computer and information services (about 1.5 billion; 16.7% of total exports of Ukrainian services).

This year in Ukraine, the import and export of goods increased significantly
During the 9 months of 2018, Ukraine received more services from the UK: $ 354.8 million (8.6% of total Ukrainian imports of services). In second place Turkey ($ 324.2 million; 7.8% of total Ukrainian imports of services), ranked third Russian Federation ($ 316.1 million; 7.6% of total Ukrainian imports of services).

The Government Statistics Service also serves the structure of service imports. In just three quarters of 2018, Ukraine received transportation services: $ 982.1 million (23.7% of total Ukrainian imports of services). Travel services are second ($ 8.4 billion; 20.5% of total Ukrainian service imports), and government and government services ($ 430 million; 10.4% of service imports for all Ukrainians) are ranked third.

As reported, according to the Department of Statistics, for the 9 months of 2017, service exports amounted to $ 7.76 billion, and imports – $ 4.1 billion. Compared with 9 months of 2016, service exports increased by 9.8%, and imports – by 5.3%.
